Esta investigación aborda la situación actual de los prestadores de servicios de salud internacional en Cali, identificando desafíos y oportunidades. A través de un enfoque cualitativo-inductivo y utilizando la teoría fundamentada, se entrevistó a 8 prestadores seleccionados por criterios de elegibilidad. Los datos se procesaron con el software Atlas.ti. Se identificaron fortalezas en calidad, portafolio e infraestructura. Sin embargo, se resaltaron desafíos como la falta de apoyo estatal, el limitado bilingüismo y la inseguridad ciudadana. Se sugiere potenciar el turismo, fortalecer el marketing en salud y buscar mayor colaboración estatal. Como se enfatiza en el desarrollo, la importancia del dominio de idiomas para comunicarse con turistas médicos. En conclusión, Cali muestra potencial en servicios de salud, pero enfrenta retos regulatorios y de competencia. La promoción, colaboración y centrarse en la experiencia del paciente son esenciales para un desarrollo sostenible en el sector y en las distintas actividades que se desarrollan en estos espacios
