Economic impact of telework in the SMEs of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas period 2021

Abstract

The technological advances at present have brought transcendental changes unlike how the traditional work was carried previously, and although the implementation of teleworking was already taking place, it was not so significant unlike some factors that prompted small and medium enterprises of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas to establish this modality in order not to pause their functions, Therefore, the main objective of the study is to analyze the economic impact of this modality in the companies in order to identify the positive and negative effects that it implies in terms of costs, expenses and business performance, in order to correlate its effects with the economy of the SMEs. The research has a qualitative approach of bibliographic documentary type. The results provided by the study and analysis of the economic impact that teleworking has on companies, evidencing that it can produce economic benefits such as the optimization of processes, increasing business productivity, also pointing out the disadvantages such as the existence of a poor legal configuration and / or higher investment costs in information and communication technologies, within discussion, concluding that the economic impact on SMEs is positive, providing greater benefits.
