Economic impact of bud rot (phytophthora palmivora) of oil palm, canton La Unión

Abstract
The present study was carried out with the objective of learning about Phytophthora palmivora (bud rot) and to know the economic impact it has on many families in the parish of La Unión, whose main economic activity is the cultivation of African palm, which is one of the most important sources of income registered in the area, essentially due to its yield. One of the aforementioned factors that generates it within the parish is the tropical zone and its temperate climate, which allows the pest (PC) to spread rapidly and take a great advantage that leads many palm growers to despair. It should be emphasized that this issue not only affects farmers, but also freight truck drivers, extractors and stockpilers, leaving many of them unemployed. This work will detail and identify what causes Phytophthora Palmivora (PC), what factors produce this disease and how it directly affects plant growth. Taking into account that, if action is not taken in time and quickly, complications will arise
