Optimization of financial performance through efficient management of working capital: a case study of Comgersol Cía. Ltda.

Abstract

The importance of an efficient working capital management analyzed as the main strategy and essential to achieve an adequate operability and permanence over time. The working capital is one of the activities that requires great attention and time, the correct application maintaining balance in the liquidity and possible risks that can be incurred in it. An exploratory methodology was applied, taking as reference primary sources such as books, scientific articles, undergraduate and graduate theses, according to the above mentioned. Inquiring the theoretical bases of research on working capital management, strategies and policies applicable in micro, small, medium and large companies in the canton. As a result it was established that the administration of working capital is a financial instrument that every person who is interested in investing or creating their own enterprise should try to understand that maintaining the economic activity within the company will have to have interest in what is being done and allocate the necessary time because it is a determining factor when starting or running a business, and surviving the first year of operation represents a great challenge for companies today
