Abstract

The number of small businesses in Quinindé canton has increased significantly in recent years. These businesses range from professional services to retail stores. Effective management practices must be used for these businesses to succeed and endure. A study was conducted in Quinindé Canton to examine the management practices used in small businesses. According to the research, most small business owners operate their businesses using a combination of traditional and contemporary methods. Two of the most commonly employed techniques were strategic planning and time management. However, some typical problems faced by small business owners in managing their businesses were also noted. These include lack of financing, rivalry, technological resources, and management training. The success and sustainability of small businesses in Cantón Quinindé depend to a large extent on management practices. A combination of traditional and contemporary methods, as well as investments in technology and training, can help them overcome the typical management problems faced by small enterprises and increase their competitiveness
